And, in fact, these Daisukes ive been posting have been the direct result of me testing out different painting methods to figure out which works best for my brain! Kinda fun that you asked this exact question on this exact practice of mine haha! Hope that’s helpful~🌺💖

For example, this is the og sketch i painted over! Honestly i’ve only recently found a process that works for me through pure trial and error, so it may just take trying a buncha stuff to figure out what you like!

I always always sketch first! Almost all of my sketches recently have been teeny tiny thumbnails that i size up and color over! I’ll usually start under the sketch to get the shapes and colors right and then i’ll do an overpainting on a single layer at the very top to give it the painterly quality!

I wont ever fully render his shirt and yall are just gonna have to be cool with that
