It's always interesting reading people defend Talmud on here because (a) I agree, Talmud is wonderful and important, yet (b) my & my children's teacher, a Hebrew Bible scholar - we are lucky beyond belief that he is in our lives - believes mitzvot are limited to the four corners of the Hebrew Bible
