Any time I was at a store when my kid was like 15 months or under and another woman would tell me I was doing a good job when he was melting down or I was over stimulated and it showed. I now go out of my way to give compliments to strangers because of how impactful it was for me.

You also need to provide proof of the diagnosis. It’s not just kids saying they have ADHD, they have to have proof from a Dr. It’s also on the student to provide the letter to the professor for each course, & professor’s aren’t supposed to provide help without it, as it makes it unfair if they do.

It’s also fairly hard to get accommodations? They can’t disadvantage other students. I tried to get them for my narcolepsy, because one professor made the class pitch black for slides and I always fell asleep. I was denied, because it would make it hard for other students to see the slides.
