I got great news today! My bosses have approved monthly classes for our stylists to brush up on rusty skills, as well as learning new techniques and technologies. They're having me lead some classes monthly at my location, and another former instructor at our sister shop. I'm so stoked!

The draining of our collective intelligence has been going on longer than I've been alive. In school, everyone was passed regardless of grade/understanding of information. So many people my age (late 30's) have no functional literacy. They can read words and not grasp anything deeper than surface.

The number of old fucks telling me they're not watching for the first time bc 'It's an American game, they need English speaking Americans to perform'. They refuse to accept PR is part of the US, and the fact that the US does not have a national standard language.
