I think what we are mostly seeing in these debates is Conservative politicians seeking ways to talk about these issues, with varying degrees of skill and sensitivity.

Okay, I think he was differentiating not by race but between well-established immigrants and recent incomers. The most likely reason he meant this is that this is where the public are. To a degree it is even where Tommy Robinon *claims* to be. So who was Jenrick dog-whistling or hinting to?

He wasn't and isn't my preferred candidate.

He has said social housing should go to those "who have been here longer" and that is neither enthnonationalist nor even nativist. Whatever other issues that my policy might have.
