I had die cast versions of Raideen and Dragun, but always wanted the jumbos! (Don’t have the display space now, and likely not the money either, lol)
A very astute (and upsetting!) piece that touches on four scary cultural trends: 1) The demand for spelled-out moral clarity in stories 2) A growing inability to understand different types of narratives 3) The "customer's always right" version of fandom 4) The growth of fandom as a social identity.

It has a helluva cast, too — Tim Robbins, Ray Wise, Alan Rickman, Giancarlo Esposito, John Cusak, Jack Black, Gore Vidal, Bob Balaban, David Strathairn… and a TON of cameos.
If you’ve never seen BOB ROBERTS, I encourage you to seek it out. If you haven’t seen it in a while you should revisit it — it’s more relevant than ever.

On the sad anniversary of a close family member’s death by their own hand, if there’s anyone out there in crisis know that there are people who care about you, that you have value, and that there is always help if you dial 988.
It costs $130 + a $35 facility fee to obtain a passport and an extra $30 for a passport card. In California, fees for certified copies of vital records are between $18 and $31 each. How is the SAVE Act not a poll tax?
