Creative writing in any language is a delicate art, and doing so in Japanese is something I will likely be working on for my entire life. I just don't feel comfortable taking money off of a skill that I can't yet produce at a fully polished level on my own.

I feel like I should offer a bit of a PSA since I've been getting more requests of this type recently, but though I do work in Japanese for my own creative projects I am not a native speaker and thus will typically refuse any translation requests from English to Japanese.

i say all of this because people occasionally come to me asking "what if people online get mad at me for the stories i write?" my answer is: you can't do anything about that. but also, in ten years, it probably isn't going to matter much at all.

I truly love his name. Honestly if you wanted a more “faithful” localization you could’ve given him any normal first name since his first name is pretty typical as far as names go, but since the title of the game in EN loses the 逆転 nuance, this is such a fun way to hint at it while sounding unique
