It’s a power level errata 🙃. The original made it clear you draw cards from your deck. For the new one, you could just grab a piece of paper and draw two cards on it.

I think the crews of the Enterprise will get the Leonardo treatment where Kirk and Picard will be WUBRG with Partner - TOS and Partner - TNG or something.
