Thank you @finalgirlafterdark.bsky.social , @alexwest.bsky.social and Faculty of Horror via David Lynch for furnishing me with my March incantation
HOLY SHIT!! That’s beautiful!!!
Poster of Maggie Gyellenhaal’s The Bride.
To me, great art articulates the things we feel but don’t have the vocabulary to express.
Films like The Bride (again, for me) fail because they give us characters who affirm our POV back to us, never challenging or surprising us in the process.

After 13 years of podcasting, we’re *finally* tackling David Lynch and we couldn’t have done it without special guest @finalgirlafterdark.bsky.social

Thank you!
Thank you!!
Same book, new home!
Absolutely thrilled to be working with the incredible team at @arsenalpulp.bsky.social to bring you Scaredy Cats: The Nine Lives of Felines in Horror in early 2027 🐈🐈⬛
The Predator’s wrist gauntlet with a claw coming towards it.
Whenever I feel bad about *gestures vaguely around* I think of how the Predator has an elaborate wrist watch/self destruct device that they activate by going BEEP BEEP BOOP with their fresh set.
Spock holding a dog in a very obvious costume with a little horn on it. Best alien ever.
One of the (many) wonderful things about my boyfriend is that he’s a fan of the original Star Trek and alerts me to the fact that they used to have aliens like this.
The ex is long gone and Moon is family.
Happy anniversary sweet girl.
Black and white cat rolling around on the floor.
Within the hour she was coming home with us. I’ve never met a more unflappable, naughty or sweet creature. Every day she makes me laugh and makes our home feel more alive.
A black and white cat with green eyes gazing out a window.
Back in 2017 my ex and I were looking to adopt a cat. We went to the Toronto Humane Society and the lovely guy working the cat section told us to go to the back and look for a tuxedo cat named Loon. We headed straight back, turned a corner and saw the prettiest green eyes.
Always grateful when the wonderful folks at @tiffnet.bsky.social ask me to share my film insights.
Title card for ER on a tv with a tabby cat in the foreground.
Festive break plans.
You better watch out because Faculty of Horror’s episode on Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) is now live 🎅🏻🪓

I’m very unmoved by these PR strategies that have actors play icebreaker games for the internet. Bring me back to the time when a reporter would get dropped off at Russell Crowe’s ranch for a week and have an emotional affair with him.
Cat cuddles aren’t a cure all but they cure a lot.
🤤
Mental health status: starting ER from the beginning.
