I’m tired of these lazy people living off the government and refusing to work.
An announcement of a night of the living dead screening tonight with ME in Madison, Wisconsin
TONIGHT!
SATURDAY!
Ashland Public Library, Ashland, MA.
It's gonna be a blast! Be there!
Totally fucking insane.
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.

I understand the impulse not to let this guy's statements dictate the news cycle but the fact that he can say shit like this and it barely causes a ripple in the media is a key to his ability to maintain power. Constantly pushing the bar of normality downwards, no pressure to take responsibility.
Probably was a bad idea to elect both the dumbest and most emotionally fragile president in American history.
Not sure this is even a point of dispute, but just in case: using the plates from semi trucks or moving trucks for the license plate game ruins the whole thing.
Who among us has not found ourselves at a Waffle House by mysterious means after a very long night
These are the 4 things AI can do well:
•Clean up your email inbox (badly)
•Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
•Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
•Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday
You can see why we need to base our economy around it
In my latest newsletter I wrote about how AI messes with the generous readers (per @emilyhughes.bsky.social) who are the lifeblood of the business. I also covered two excellent debut novels. www.themarisreview.com/the-maris-re...
Show somebody who absolutely rocks a hat and isn't Indiana Jones.
PS This is the shop of the person behind @girlfleeshouse.bsky.social & if you've enjoyed my occasional RTs, a) you should follow! & also b) in another post she said "The more art is bought, the higher the (weirdly existent) chance of me getting to Readercon" & EYE will be ordering some socks
National Science Foundation: $9 billion total in FY2026
This is an EXTREMELY cool project that @maris.bsky.social and @sandyernestallen.bsky.social worked so hard on!

My personal opinion is that this guy did a great job. Strong message, well presented.
The top of the First Federal Building in Rochester, NY launches off of the rest of the building, with a magenta burst of energy. We are looking out over the buildings with Ted who is watching the launch.
I made the poster for this year’s Rochester Independent Comics Expo and it turned out pretty rad.
May 16, gonna be a blast!
Love this!
if you’re not hearing from me on Instagram, or through the email address that corresponds to my website, or my personal address, or Bluesky messenger, etc., then doublecheck. Specifically if you hear from authorowenking [at] gmail dot com, that’s *not* me. (2/2)

Thank you yes, her website is great. May her fame grow exponentially today.
So this is pure gangsterism, and also premised on the absurd notion that the people of Minneapolis would just lie back and take it if not for Tim Walz saying mean things about ICE.
