We called everyone Auntie or Uncle which was very odd as they were not relatives. As a teacher, everyone calls me Mrs Lxxxxx - both daughters went to my school for their secondary education so even though they are mid-20s now, friends still default to Mrs L
Cleaners in my school fight amongst themselves to clean our department. We’re apparently the only one who regularly talks to them or thanks them for what they do. They are great! And if we have an urgent issue, we’re top of the list. It pays to be nice.

Serenade for Strings. Although I’ve played in string ensembles for 40 years, I’ve only played it once, unlike Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and that dirge that Elgar produced. The slow movement of the Suk is sublime
Been out for the day so just catching up now, ironically with a/c descending into LTN overhead. Great show! Learning loads. Capt. Chris is a great teacher
