In colorado, I bought a pair of Outdoor World's insulated, waterproof, nonskid slip-on boots. Besides being comfortable, they were also great for walking on icy surfaces. Not much use for them in Lockhart thus far

A tidbit of positivity today.
I teach music lessons, mostly to young people, as a day job. Yesterday I taught the chords and simple guitar riffs of "Pictures Of You" to student who has only been at it for less than two months; they played the song all the way through. Their first whole song!
