Did you provide it with any additional prompting?
I’ve been trying to do this with different documents, but unless I add more specifics - the slides created are always too brief.

Jesse Welles should be taught in music classrooms.

Anxiety is in your control, you are bringing it on yourself. Discard it, as Marcus Aurelius says.
The same way the gray hairs in my beard make me think things like “34 is the new 24,” seeing not-urgent school emails with an urgent tag makes me think things the “inbox is the new deleted emails folder.”
A good price tag, but looks like a flexible and versatile amp with a pretty small footprint when pit space is always at a premium.
@anthonypooley.bsky.social, I was wondering if you've ever used/considered using the Rivera Sedona Lite 25 amp for shows.
Two separate channels for acoustic and electric guitars, all tube, and direct out.
Thank you for your blog - very helpful advice for pit guitarists.
I’ve learned a-whole-lot about fair deals these past 7 months.
And you’ve not been giving me good deals, @thespoony.bsky.social.
So be ready for 25-45% tariffs on all that wheat and ore next week.
Our union negotiated one "clerical" day at the beginning of the school year. This is a day where the time is entirely spent working in our rooms preparing for our students. I highly recommend that if you have a union, you include this in your negotiations for your next contract.

These are very "guided notes" style, but I can assign them through Google Classroom and provide students with more skill and drill practice, part-writing exercises, melodic and harmonic dictation, etc. - should they be interested in getting a 5 on the exam.

College Board does have a comprehensive set of AP Daily Videos that accompany every unit of the curriculum:
—think "How to build a major scale using the W-W-H-W-W-W-H pattern" or "How to build the 4 types of triads" type tutorials.
I made a 1-2 page study guide for every video in the curriculum.
- writing a melody, then using different chord progressions/chord extensions, harmonize the melody in different genres (stylistic differences),
- arranging a pop song for a 4-part harmony ensemble (choral, string quartet, etc.) in an SATB format - same theory "rules", but with modern application.
Ear training (aural skills) could include:
- transcribing melodies by ear (a pop song hook, a fiddle tune, a jazz standard, etc.),
- figuring out the chord progression to [X] song, then writing out a lead sheet using the Nashville number system (a la Tom Bukovac),
Real talk—the AP Music Theory curriculum is boring.
The course attempts to teach real-world music skills—like transcribing melodies or understanding harmony—but is stuck in "common practice."

Do you script them? Rough outline, but with some spontaneity?
I like their overall pace/length. Recent swing episode has been one of my favorites so far - great musical examples.

I have spent the week with someone who has dementia and let me tell you it is an ironclad argument for the power of music, especially popular song. Go listen to your favorite songs. Learn the words. Sing along. They will keep you company to the very end.
I think you're right. I wish journals had podcasts of the author reading their article.
Great podcast episodes!

lmao no, TikTok users are not moving to Bluesky. They would literally rather learn Mandarin than learn how to read a feed of text posts. This is a millennial retirement home.
