A wide view across the exposed lakebed of the Great Salt Lake from Antelope Island, the water receded far enough to leave pale cracked flats laced with shallow pools. Sagebrush and dry grass push up through the rocky foreground, and across the water the Wasatch Range holds its snowpack against a deep blue sky stacked with cumulus clouds working their way east.
Antelope Island in the morning. The Wasatch still has snow, the lake still has some water, both of those things feel more tenuous than they used to.

A landscape with bright yellow flowers everywhere in the foreground on a descending slope. Above them are more distant areas of broad green grassy meadows on stepped terrain of balsalt cliffs descending from high plateau to the left, to a rugged canyon on the right. Some areas are lightly forested with tall conifers, and some oaks. Beyond the plateaus and cliffs is a ribbon of blue water from one side of the image to the other. That is the Columbia River between Oregon State and Washington State in the Pacific Northwest of the US. The foreground is all in Oregon.
The opposite river bank is Washington State with similar basalt cliffs green grassy meadows and scattered forest. Above them stand low rolling mountainsides and shallow valleys full of denser forests of tall conifers.
Beyond the lower mountains stands a high snow covered mountain peak called Mount Adams (known by the native first peoples as Klickitat, and Phato).
Above, the sky is covered with diffuse clouds.
Hey! I'm back to posting the photos!

The sun catches the rain falling against a hillside.
Taken on the road between Salmon Arm and Vernon. It’s not often that I’ll stop during my drive, but this hillside caught my eye and I had to pull over to enjoy the fresh air and take a few photos. I’m happy I did.

A painting of a seagull walking brazenly out of a convenience store holding a bag of potato chips in beak. In her wake a brown tabby bodega cat is sitting shocked on top of two crates of fruit (but is not about to get up and do anything.) A small white dog in smaller green glasses also watches shocked from the floor. The shelves are stocked floor to ceiling with snacks.
A heist! 🍟🦅

A painting of a stoat standing up and smiling as a snowflake lands on their nose. The background is changing seasons, with spring flowers and neon green grass at the bottom, shifting to summer grass, autumn grass and red leaves, and a snow topped mountain and branches at the top. There are little bugs investigating throughout (a monarch butterfly, a ladybug, and a bee.) The stoat is in the middle, and their fur color changes from brown to white to match the seasons.

A wide view across the Hood River Valley in early spring, orchards just coming into bloom spreading across the rolling hills in soft whites and yellows, with conifers and a budding deciduous tree filling the foreground. Mount Hood anchors the scene from above, its snow-covered summit rising cleanly into an unbroken blue sky, the rest of the Cascades fading into haze on either side.
Hood River Valley orchards just hitting peak bloom. Mount Hood, as usual, not subtle about its presence.
