I profiled Lazer a few years ago and it's been awesome to see him tackle everything he said he would tackle
Richie Lazer is one of the city's very best public servants, completely transforming the PPA in just a couple years. I'm bummed for the city to see him possibly leave that role when there's so much work still to be done. (I think he'd make a pretty fantastic mayor at some point, too.)
this is the Kool-Aid Man plotline from The Studio come to life
I just take out the ones I don’t want and put them in another bag! I didn’t agree to that metric, and refuse to accept it
I was doing the math and I think I’ve seen them seven times individually, and this was the best
Last fall, we assigned @cohenesque.bsky.social a profile of new Flyers coach Rick Tocchet. That transformed into a season-long exploration of the Flyers, their fans, and just exactly what this franchise means to a city. I love this new @phillymag.com story:
At one point this was gonna end at the Olympic break, and be published in the April @phillymag.com. That would have been a very different story. Literally. And spiritually. www.phillymag.com/news/2026/04...
thinking about getting a second fridge for this exact same purpose—beer and Costco slabs of Kerrygold butter

100 percent agree. I played Cowboy Song for my kids the other night and they hated it; perfect song.
on the 50th anniversary of the release of The Boys Are Back in Town I'm morally obligated to share my favorite story of all time

it would be a shame if it ruined my relationship with her forever, but honestly this is a killer bit and I will not relent
my Kpop-obsessed nine-year-old is currently furious with me because I keep insisting BTS stands for "boy...they singin!"

Send me off to a foreign land

my daughter will be very excited to learn she's in the Inquirer since she recently informed me that she's "only been in Philly Mag twice"
It's crazy that Liz can not only be one of the best-selling authors in America and an exceptionally caring, thoughtful person, but then also find the time to help create my nine-year-old's most-favorite club.
On Friday, President Trump is scheduled to appear at the Dream City Church in Phoenix, Arizona, for a Turning Point USA event. Trump’s appearance at the event is part of Turning Point USA’s “Build the Red Wall” campaign. It is an effort championed by Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, to secure victories for MAGA candidates in the 2026 and 2028 elections by increasing Republican support in Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. The event is free for people who would like to listen to Trump’s speech from the pews at Dream City Church. But a more interactive experience is available — for a price. An email sent by Sinan Kanatsiz, an obscure but well-connected figure in Trump’s political orbit, offers its recipients a “one-on-one meeting and private photo with President Donald Trump” in exchange for a “contribution of $500,000 to TPUSA PAC.”
One of the first things Dems need to do when they take back the White House is reinstate the Johnson Amendment and cut the tax-exempt status of churches like this popular.info/p/500000-buy...
man I obviously think this site is valuable but come ON
I think a lot of the country’s problems would be solved if we just brought back album covers like this
After English and Spanish, Hindi is the most-spoken language in Texas. It's a total miscarriage not only that she's now in a detention center, but that she was the only interpreter for hundreds of thousands of Hindi speakers!
I had no idea who either person was before I clinked play and now I feel like I know both of them intimately
