Star Trek First Contact scene, and if you haven't watched this one you should cancel all plans and view immejietly. (Also has a Mark S from Severance cameo) Ok, it's nighttime and we're close in on 2 dudes, closest is Zefram Cochrane, and just behind him is William T. Riker, famous tromboner. Both are in civilian clothes, Riker a leather jacket, and Zefram in a bomber type coat with the white fluffy wooly stuffing around the collar. Zefram is also wearing a weird black hat that is sort of like a bandana in form and function, but instead of fabric it's bedazzled leather. He's speaking, and looks kind of dumbfounded or stumped. Closed caption reads, "You're all....astronauts .. on some kind of Star Trek"

A fabricated statement from Nintendo of America's Twitter account addressing a fictitious scenario in which the Earth's oxygen supply is presumed to be depleting at a rapid pace, leaving humanity with mere days to live.

"This is Miyamoto. On behalf of everyone who is employed at Nintendo Co. LTD and its subsidiaries, we deeply mourn the countless human lives which will be lost due to the depletion of the global oxygen supply. To anyone who has ever played one of our games, we are eternally grateful to have created long-lasting fun and memories for you. To ease the suffering of families and children across the world, the Mario Kart World game for the Nintendo Switch 2 system will be available as a free download on Nintendo eShop for the foreseeable future. We hope this small gesture of kindness will ease the pain as humanity prepares for a worst-case scenario."

The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.

John Default Profile Picture: "No one read this statement and thought it was distasteful? Why did Miyamoto think this would help anyone?"

NintenDeen: "Simple: Nintendo is so depraved that they'd exploit a global crisis to boost the player count of the failed Mario Kart World and force consumers back into the Switch 2 ecosystem to boost sales and player numbers."

PlayStation Nation: "What the fuck are you doing falsely advertising sales during these trying times? I went to the website and Mario Kart World is still selling for $80 USD."

Kremling Kevin: "If you actually read the statement, it clearly says the discount is available on Nintendo eShop. Meaning the application on the Switch 2 itself, not the web browser version."

PlayStation Nation: "Point still stands."

Had a dream that there was global panic about the world running out of oxygen, Nintendo was the only video game company to make a statement about it, and the internet collectively spent its final hours on Earth debating whether Nintendo was being genuine or not

Thirsty Star Trek The Original Series scene. Ol' pointy ear Spock is "piloting a shuttlecraft" if you know what I mean. He's looking up and concentrating hard. Closed caption reads, "The area of penetration will no doubt be sensitive."

This is a great thread, but it’s just an odd to me that this conversation KEEPS happening in Trek. It happened in the 60s with Pike’s beep chair, the 80s with Geordi’s visor, in the 2010s with another background disabled extra in Discovery. Eugenics arguments really are tedious and boring.

The Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack (2001) by Howard Shore, reissued and pressed on Palantír Clear vinyl in 2025. This music sounds gorgeous on vinyl, the gatefold has a soft texture to it that makes the packaging feel aged in a charming way.

Star Trek Enterprise scene. We're on ship and looking at Malcolm Reed in uniform, sitting, expounding, and probably eating pineapple held just off camera. Closed caption reads, "I'm afraid I don't much follow football, sir."

OBSESSED with episode 5 of Starfleet Academy. SUCH a love letter to DS9. Episodes 5 and 4 explore the depths of interpersonal relationships with these characters and that is SO Star Trek. I adore Sam. #startrek

It’s the Undertale Vinyl Soundtrack. (2016) by @tobyfox.undertale.com printed on Pacifist Blue and G**ocide Red transparent LPs. This was the first run of Undertale’s soundtrack on vinyl before it received a later, complete vinyl release and remaster from Fangamer in 2021.

Star Trek Picard scene. An older Worf is shown, white eyebrows and goatee. There's a 'Mr. Worf Goes to a Rave' feel, with what looks like confetti dropping over him, blacklighting, and abstract art on the walls behind him, presumably drawn in Tide. Closed caption reads, "Beheadings are on Wednesdays."

a gangster government cowering in fear of a decrepit man, misery incarnate, himself terrified of the long black shadow of his life behind him, one riddled with crime and a deep hatred of other people, a man with no virtue, no soul, a man of nothing, a specter.
