Video: Opinion | How Tyranny Begins Tyranny doesn’t happen overnight. Take it from the people who missed the first signs.

I did a NYT video interview—along with voices from Hungary, Nicaragua, and Russia— about how repression works in authoritarian states.

Spotted INSM, a market-liberal think tank, demonstrating in front of a workers' association. Their banner reads "There is no Economy B", playfully riffing off the climate activists' "There is no Planet B". Makes one chuckle, especially if you're familiar with the Varieties of Capitalism literature.

How does economic inequality change society? - WID - World Inequality Database How does economic inequality change society? The source for global inequality data. Open access, high quality wealth and income inequality data developed by an international academic consortium.

Very interesting working paper on the beliefs about the effects of economic inequality and their effect on redistributive preferences! Strategically important for anyone endorsing and arguing for more equality: Should one stress instrumental or intrinsic arguments?

Finally hopped on the Bluesky train! 🚀 Here for all things related to socio-economics, pluralist economics, and a sprinkle of Cologne (the city, not the scent 😅). Remember the golden days of Twitter? Hoping this gives those vibes, and reignites my social media spark! 📚🌍
