Last thought I just hope this era of numbers and content crap doesn’t discourage young people from making music and starting bands. It’s one thing to be content creators it’s another thing to be in a band. (Being in a band fucking rules)

Although personally I would never let that happen for my own band. Ultimately it just doesn’t feel that different to me than all the pitchfork darlings that are absolutely everywhere because they have huge PR budgets and get lucky. Money and luck.

Also my thoughts on geese they have been a band for a long time and worked really hard. I personally am glad that a large group of people are into guitar music again. I also like that they say important shit on large stages. I highly doubt they had a personal hand in this sinister shit -

It’s a shitty industry but it always has been. Listen to music you actually like. share it with friends. Go to shows. Support music when you can. Everything on the internet is fake ✌️

Yeah I think buying fans and creating whole internet discourses is bad but let’s not pretend anything about music is fair. I don’t really see much difference then big labels (even big indies) spending huge fucking amounts of money on PR and algorithmic Spotify plays?
