The reporters are delivering but I'm amazed there are desk editors still making it happen. And getting those stories published.

I continue to be awed by the ethic and dedication of Washington Post reporters delivering national security blockbusters despite such internal incompetence above them. Service journalism. They are real stewards of the place. @danlamothe.bsky.social @ellenwapo.bsky.social

Trump Is Said to Be in Talks to Send Afghans Who Aided U.S. Forces to Congo

This story should be much bigger. Trump essentially signing death warrants for the Afghan allies who risked their lives to aid American troops. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/21/w...

Just saw a video of Harry and Meghan attending a rugby match. They drew up in a four SUV caravan. Give me a break.

For all those still feeling the moon joy—Artemis II was brought to you by public schools and publicly funded science. Copy that! 👩‍🚀🚀💕

Gabriela Jaquez should be a top 3 WNBA draft pick. No player did more to win her team a championship in recent memory. #UCLA

It was a good day all round for the European Ryder Cup team, and not so good for the bros -- or for Liv golfers, who can't seem to factor apart from Tyrell Hatton.

Best part of the #Masters final round watch party with the original Augusta pimento cheese and egg salad and barbecue, was the mid-round announcement that #Orban lost. Spontaneous applause in the living room.

It was a little spendy but they made it feel worth it. Warning: get your order in early. Apparently they sold out fairly quickly. I ordered about 2 weeks in advance.

Oh! And I also added Mac and Cheese.

I added in some cold fried chicken, shrimp cocktail, and coconut cake for dessert. The standout was the Augusta barbecue, which was heavenly. Smoky and sweet.

They also sent fun paraphernalia like little flags for the sandwiches, coasters, Masters plastic cups, and menus with the Augusta Natl insignia and font.

It came in a box filled with insulated cold packs, with the egg salad, pimento cheese, and barbecue in quarter containers. Had to buy the bread myself and it took two trips to find the right quality for the sandwiches. Also, they sent chips, chocolate chip cookies, and Georgia pecan caramel corn.

The Artemis Astronauts Are Studs Strength, courage, expertise, wonder: NASA’s moon-mission crew has reset the bar for greatness.

How terrifying was the re-entry? How nauseating was the hour in a rocking capsule in the Pacific after slamming from 25,000 mph to 100 mph to 20 mph? Yet they all walked to the medical bay under their own power, jelly legged though they were. #NASA #ArtemisII www.theatlantic.com/culture/2026...

Seeing those four orange-suited astronauts sitting so tight, shoulder to shoulder, on that raft after it was over and they were all safe, just killed me.

It was tense as hell. So was the period waiting for the divers to open the GOD damn hatch.

The Artemis II astronauts will descend at a speed of 24,000 mph. The heat shield should be okay, but on the unmanned test it showed char damage. www.theatlantic.com/culture/2026...

They're already doing it. They realized the cut was a bad idea and now they're trying to stand up a new albeit small section and lure some people back.
