A useful reframe for aging:
sometimes the problem is not loss of function.
it's loss of margin. The body is still regulating, still adapting, still keeping you going, but with less surplus to absorb disruption cleanly.
Nothing has to be broken for something important to have changed.
You can be doing everything right
and still feel like something isn’t clearing.
That’s not inconsistency.
It’s accumulation.

You start to see it in small things.
The way someone moves. Eats. Sleeps.
Not random.
Just repeated enough that the body stopped guessing.

Sleep becomes lighter. Recovery takes longer. Stress lingers in the body.
These are often the first signals of aging.
A new human study suggests the endocannabinoid system may be part of that shift.
What the research shows... and what it doesn’t.

Cannabis dosing after 70: predictability over potency. A practical, fall-aware starting framework (often 0.25–1 mg THC equivalents depending on risk), plus timing tips to reduce dose stacking and nighttime unsteadiness.

Daily digest is up: CED Clinic news reviewed over 20 relevant news pieces in the last 24 hours. Ranking, commentary, discussion and original URLs are neatly organized:

56 cannabis stories reviewed today. Two that mattered: teen use tied to higher psychosis risk, and new brain-circuit data explaining cannabis-driven appetite. Headlines can be “true” and still not useful. We add the clinical lens. cedclinic.com/category/can...

Nuance still matters at the individual level. But broad population claims should match what the data can actually support.
The claims data is here:
paper: drive.google.com/file/d/1qGxl...
In a JAMA Network Open study spanning 2003–2017 (63.7M insured beneficiaries), states with medical or recreational cannabis policies did not show a statistically significant difference in psychosis-related diagnoses or antipsychotic prescribing compared with states without such policies.
For my friends that just want the cheat sheet, I've published
what nutrition groups are good for you, and why:

I wrote about nutrition as signaling, not discipline.
Why people who do everything “right” still feel brittle.
And what changes when interpretation replaces compliance.

Wanting space and wanting people are not opposites.
Most of the time, the tension between them isn’t about personality or preference. It’s about capacity.
I wrote about how easily depletion gets mistaken for identity, and what nervous systems are actually signaling right now.

Diluting infused sauce with non-infused sauce is one of the simplest ways to lower mg per spoon without changing the recipe. 🥄➗🫙 #DoseControl #MealPrep #WorthIt
A condiment is basically built-in portion control, which is why sauces are a smart format for infused cooking. 🥄🫙✨ #InfusedCondiments #CookingTips #KitchenWin

For seniors, the cannabis ledger is not “good vs bad.” It is, very concretely:
Did it help sleep without making mornings unsafe?
Did it calm the nervous system without stealing clarity?
If we're not asking good questions, we are not doing medicine.

✅ Cannabis moved from Schedule I to Schedule III
✅ Executive order directing pilot research on cannabinoid care for seniors
This took years of groundwork. Today marks real progress.
Now the serious work begins: evidence, outcomes, and getting it right.
The rules changed.
Bodies didn’t.
Sleep got thinner, stress got louder, and folks started wondering what still counts.
That quiet in-between?
That’s where the trouble lives.

I still write a note in every book I send. Not for the ritual, but for the reminder that medicine works better when it slows down and pays attention. Cannabis care taught me that healing begins with presence.

When medicine becomes marketing, the body fights back.
The cannabis industry isn’t crashing - it’s having a fever.

It’s not about money; it’s about the biology we forgot.

So next time you catch your pup gazing at the horizon, maybe they’re not zoning out, they’re demonstrating perfect endocannabinoid balance. And maybe we could all learn a thing or two from that level of chill. 🐶💚

🚫 Stop letting strangers on the internet choose your dose.
Doctors once said cannabis had 0 value, now science is proving what we knew all along.
If your “doctor” has a username ending in 420, maybe get a second opinion. 😅
