Look at this EZB plant drawing! 🌿
The book for Exclusion Zone Botanist and a rare thing for me: a cup of coffee. I know, shocking.
My first test play, found a new plant. It’s a medium sized plant with oblate, alternating leaves and sparkling flowers. My little sketch of it is made with watercolor and pencil.
Exclusion Zone Botanist arrived today & I sat down to look through it and try a round to see how it works…
Came back to talk about it & got current event timeline horror. Fun.
Going live in about 20mins :)
The zombie survival horror TTRPG that has spawned over 300 hacks is getting remastered in a brand new "frightmare" edition.

Thanks to everyone who came to our first designer meet up! We had over a dozen different designers stop by and connect. Catch it next month on May 13 and every second Wednesday of the month going forward.
Photo of a print test of the game The Frog Squad on light blue paper. It has a red and green illustration of frogs standing in a data center. The text says "junk food games presents The Frog Squad in Hearts Against the Machine. A ttrpg and card game for 3 frogs"
I got some paper that I thought would be a good fit for The Frog Squad and did a test print last night. I really like the color and the print looks great on it imo. The paper color is almost an exact match to the background color I had set for the PDF version. #LeanGreenZineJam
We just crossed the 50% mark everyone!

How should we handle garbage time in tabletop games?

A silhouette of a breathless zombie, in front of a wall of text that repeats "Don't scream. Don't Breathe." in red type writer typeface. "breathless" in white glows above the head of the creature.
They don't hunger. They suffocate.
We’re at 50% funded halfway past day two! If you’re thinking about backing Breathless, we’re throwing in some sweet pdfs of 3 amazing game: Stoneburner, The Gas Station, & CBR+PNK!

Yeah, I'm a TTRPG designer
But I'm also a senior frontend software engineer
So may as well use my skills to make the Breathless home page on my site look slick as hell
Oh no, nothing is ever gone. It is just paused while I'm mulling over how I want it to be.
A revised version, more refined and complete with layout, is now available.

I'll look it up!
I've been feverously reading There Is No Antimemetics Department by qntm and it's been a fun mind trip.
Alright, look, 30K is a big goal.
I'm pretty confident we'll get there by the end, but it's most probably going happening around the end, based on what I know about crowdfunding campaigns.
But bit by bit, we'll get there. If we can get by 50% today, that would be pretty sweet though
What if our concept of language is a barrier to truly seeing and understanding the unknowable around us, filtered out by our minds concepts.
Is something scratching at the door of knowing every time we experience semantic satiation?
Do we just need to give it room to be seen?
I've been re-reading a lot of books on urbanism lately. It's going to be hard not making this profile all about urban design.

When I think about language too long I can feel semantic satiation creeping in at the edges, except it is for the entire concept of language.
And then I fear I'll lose the ability of language completely.
