Maybe I should just stop reading the "did you beat the bot" analysis in Wordle. I don't definitively know all the possible remaining answers when playing (as I am not a bot), so the logic it uses is not available to me (and teaches me nothing, while making me scream a little in my head).

Deborah Cameron obituary Linguist, feminist activist and author of influential books on how language can shape gendered experiences

I am gutted. Deborah Cameron died in January, but I just learned this now. Her work was central to helping me grasp the depths to which language reflects the ubiquitous misogyny in our society. She changed the way I speak and think. Rest in power, Dr. Cameron.

Nicole Nelson (@nicolenelson) In Crewe’s story, dual adjectives can be arresting, witty. Also—only partly licensed by the Victorian tone—he brilliantly brings on the adverbs.

Please, please don't leverage misogyny when criticizing this person. (Or impugn children!) But "bitch" -- there are so many other ways to label his behavior; reach beyond this one.

I’m not a film buff. And the question is beside the point; the celebration of the montage (with its gross lack of diversity) is what I wanted to call out. The history of racism of the film industry is why your question is a problematic challenge. Do you have suggestions?

💯 Zero women of color, pretty sure. The comments celebrating this montage — rather than seething at the very lopsided and tokenized representation — enrage me. Recognizing that the white male is nonsensically our default hero is the first step in fixing our inequality problem… we’re still not there.

Gender equality is evidently neither the dream not the reality. The patriarchy in this reel is depressing.

I am currently listening to this episode. “Thunderously stupid” in your opening monologue made me lol.

If the media covered science as reverentially as it does religion, we'd all be better off.

Love the episode title. Outstanding content — with one gripe. The ageist banter at the beginning, reinforcing the sexist idea that women should be coy about their age rather than confident in their experience, was a bummer. Please interrogate rather than amplify ageism in the future.

Why did I press the wrong button on this hotel gym bike when I wanted more resistance? The button placement was counter-intuitive (for me).

Following a hunch, I checked where the company was based. Taiwan. In Taiwan, characters are written predominantly top to bottom and then *right to left*.
