Conductor has become integral part of my workflow. I was nearing the end of the work of a branch, but I had a feeling there was more related work to do. I asked for a full review of related issues in the workspace and then make an issue on GitHub with the findings. Seamless.

Winter Olympics 2026 Calendar

I wanted a calendar I could subscribe to with all the Olympic events, but I couldn’t find anything, Claude did a search and couldn’t find anything either.
So, I had Claude throw together an .ics file and an index.html and I dropped it on Netlify:

With the rain I get it, but this is the emptiest I have seen TQL stadium as an at-home spectator.

The Bailey is undeterred and as lively as ever. šŸ’™šŸ§”

Last week @garrettdimon.com added @bsky.app as an option for podcast social links on @fireside.fm and today I shipped it.

Hoping to add auto posting of new episodes soon as well.

Well, now I’m hoping it has to do with candy cigarettes.

Suggesting people are advising against relying heavily on the popular JS architecture you work on because they're stuck in 1995 is an incredibly out of touch statement and doesn't exactly instill me with confidence that the actual issues will be resolved anytime soon.

My kid has gotten in to drawing and painting lately. He gets frustrated that his attempts don’t turn out the way he imagined, so we’ve talked a lot about the gap between what we can do and what we want to do, and the only way to close that gap is to practise.

Well, I might have to try turning on the mini map.

Building an Effective Dev Portfolio A free 70-page ebook that teaches you how to build a developer portfolio that appeals to employers

šŸ“š Did you know I self-published a free book about building portfolio sites for developers looking for work?

It’s very short, about 70 pages, and contains a bunch of little tips and tricks I learned when I was doing career coaching.

You can download it here: www.joshwcomeau.com/effective-po...

@echowolfmusic.bsky.social @trentwalton.bsky.social Thanks for all the amazing music. Right now I have Primer (Slowed) on repeat and it’s getting me in the zone to do some dev work while waiting on my kid’s practice.

MacOS heavy memory usage alert with Figma using 19.93 GB of memory.

I’m trying to grade my design students’ work, but slowing down as @figma.com seems to have a memory leak issue. I only have six students and I’ve had their files open all day in the background on my machine so I can periodically work on grading. This hit as I was working on the last one.

After a week of playing Balatro I finally finished a run. I get why it has a game of the year nomination. It’s fun, strategic, and can be played casually.

I honestly don’t know if I would have given it a shot if it wasn’t on Apple Arcade.
