I told you I was widowed when I was 30 and I’ll being honest with you when I started really looking at this picture and creating my definition of it, literally brought tears to my eyes. I don’t know how many of those deep cleansing breaths I’ve taken in my lifetime, but they always feel good.

It really strikes emotion when you look at this picture. But then I noticed the hash mark on its chest, the way the lines are drawn show a fullness in the chest like this person is taking a huge cleansing breath and ready to exhale and let all of that go and move on.

I just looked back at this post, and the print, and it struck me. This person looks so heavy and weighed down and burdened. Even their hands and feet look contorted and bent under the weight of it all, the little head perched atop with its closed eyes that could be mourning or just exhaustion.
