At the age of eight, myself, my dad and his dad floated up the coast from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay by nuclear submarine. (It helped my dad was the captain of said sub, you see.)

Ignore the "visionary" bit.
I prefer "That fellah from BlueSky-"
1) Given the paper's current ownership, the odds are good that Billy Idol will outlive the LA Times.
2) this is a fun interview but totally ignores the fact that he's still writing/recording some of the best music he's ever done. youtu.be/AFj0qmBMBa4
From ILX just now: "D’Angelo’s “Sometimes it Snows In April” is a double heartbreaker now" -- and this is true. This is really true. Sorry for Fallon at the start, but if you haven't seen this, you need to.
hawking a line of branded Mountain Goats smart glasses. no matter where you look things look a little bleaker and also the wearer cannot remove the glasses once worn. I’m disrupting this sector
A toy from Mattel's 80s "Food Fighters" line, specifically the brooding sensuality and raw masculinity of the Burgerdier General.

81 years ago yesterday, my granddad was at the controls of KGKY radio in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as Truman gave his first speech after FDR died, and doing local promos and signoff. Ancient radio clips miraculously saved on fragile home-recorded 78rpm records. archive.org/details/Kgky...
Best of luck!!
They're all seceding!
We are investigating an incident with service in one of our reginos We have put in place several fixes and are continuing to actively monitor the situation. Thank you for your patience. April 16, 2026 at 06:42 GMT+00:00
Hey, I get it. My regino's not exactly at its best this early either.
Excellent choice!!
They were to me! I've kept a sharp eye out for Sleestaks ever since.
Without saying your age, post your favorite film that released the year you turned 18
The only even remotely dinosaur related media I can remember growing up is "Land of the Lost" so I guess my favorite would've been...Dopey? More recently, possibly Linus from Star Trek Discovery, or Maurice from Borderlands? Yeah, yeah, I'm hopeless, I know it.
Sadly I am one of these monsters. In the spring of '93 the media was hyping the upcoming box office showdown between Spielberg's Jurassic Park and Arnold's Last Action Hero. "Last Action Hero will win, obviously," I said. "Who the heck cares anything about dinosaurs?"
I, uh, stand corrected.

my pal @stephaniejeter.bsky.social is pulling together the funds for a cool and emotional short about grief, loss, time and space.
if youve got the means, supporting art is a good way to counteract all this horrifying unmaking we're in midst of.
GOOD MORNING
Tomorrow is my last day to apply for this year’s FringePVD
Please help me defray the $30 application fee by picking up a copy of my Sparks covers album
(If anyone wants to buy it for $30, that would save me a lot of time)
World Snooker Champion Bill Werbniuk for Embassy Fashion Caskets on Route 9
If it’s good enough for Big Bill, it’s good enough for me.
I love that Memphis has its very own Star Trek day.
I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.
I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee
I look forward to my turn!
Any excuse to hear a fantastic Suede track is okay by me!

She's a sweetheart and alarmingly bright; she loves gadgets and games and screens and actually learned to take her own picture on the phone.
Me on the left. My father on the right, playing a soon to be pawned Gibson SG he just got for Christmas, circa '96.
As of today I have now lived longer than my father ever did, which is...weird on every level, and I guess as a trans person in this century I had some doubts I'd make that. And he certainly deserved far more (and better) time than he got. Sigh. Fuck cancer, make the most of your time, etc, etc.
My red cat watching the Artemis II crew come home safely!
My kitty says "ah, I can finally breathe! Welcome home!"
