The tags were chosen before I was staff, but I assume it's to categorize all five body type + genital combos in a simple way. To keep it as neutral as possible. And because of the differentiation between characters with both, a penis and a vagina, and those who have only one set of genitals.

The problem is the dithering. It has just a few flat colors. It should be possible to render it as a gif without dithering or color banding, without hitting the file size limit.
You can make a set as a workaround. After creating it, you can search for it by typing "set:name of your set" in the search bar.
If you want to be put on the DNP list, you have to specifically point out that you want to be put on the list. Otherwise, it's just a takedown to remove the art that's currently on the site.
