It's time Premier Peter Malinauskas and the SA government to act. Support workers deserve respect, job security, and fair pay. Without them, there are no safe support services! #ValueOurWork #SAStrong #RespectAtWork

This isn’t about extra funding. It’s about workers getting paid properly and having secure jobs so they can keep delivering essential services.

That’s why workers are taking action today until they win fair wages! This phase of action includes:
✅ Refusing unpaid admin work
✅ Not filling out fleet logbooks
✅ Chalking DHS vans with ‘Safe Support Services NOW!’
✅ Leaving council bins for management to move

Safe support services depend on a stable workforce. But right now, low pay and job insecurity are forcing experienced workers out of the sector. That puts the people they support at risk.

These workers provide critical disability support services, but many can no longer afford to stay in the job. Instead of fixing this, DHS is relying on agency workers to fill shifts.

Woolworths takes $50m hit as strike leads to empty shelves The supermarket giant filed an urgent application with the Fair Work Commission to end industrial action blocking distribution centres

$50 MILLION - the amount of money Woolworths is willing to pay to ignore striking workers' call for a fair workplace.

It seems they saved up a lot by squeezing their shoppers and workers over the last few years!

So Woolworths rakes in the cash from price gouging all of us, but can't afford to give its workers a fair pay rise?

Give me a break.

From price gouging customers to treating workers like robots - Woolworths' greed has finally hit empty shelves across three states. 1,500 of our members are showing what happens when workers stand together against exploitation & unsafe conditions.

A very long-fought campaign win for @unitedworkers.org.au Early Educators! 15% on such a low wage is more of a parity than a raise, but this is still a win (and some much-needed breathing room). Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow the battle begins anew!

At the @unitedworkers.org.au
Woolies strike site in Dandenong South, the surveillance system set up by the company is now blaring this message at random intervals:

"You are trespassing! Please leave the area! This area is under video surveillance, and you have been recorded."

Cool thing you can do to support the current Woolies warehouse strike:

Post photos of empty shelves, preferably also asking WW to pay their stood down workers, and give them fair working conditions.
