Cool story Mark, my kids gotta worry about getting shot at school & kidnapped by their government. They’ve had bomb threats at their school because of your party’s BS. (1)

They’ve had a grandparent die from Covid, while MAGA were yelling it was a hoax & if you get the vaccine, you’ll be magnetic & have wi fi. Their aunt believes in lizard people & some in their community think litter boxes are in schools because kids wear cat headbands. (2)

And they see you covering for pedos. Now they gotta watch you play victim, asking for the fucking army to protect you from an imaginary future car jacking? FUCK ALL THE WAY OFF you fucking coward. (4)

They watched your voters attack our government. And then they see our government join them and cut funding to schools, healthcare and cancer research. They see you justifying kidnapping people off the streets, including children (3)

Situation on 14th St and W St. NW, with federal agents -- no specific agency identified -- pulling cars over for checks. They arrested a Black woman in this car.

BIG crowd of people shouting at police.

"Fuck you!"

"What is wrong with you!"

"You don't need to terrorize people like this!"

Here’s @mehdirhasan.bsky.social asking the question we’ve been asking for a week

The Sunday shows ignored it, and Hegseth just stood next to Trump for an hour and nobody asked

Trump rewrites Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Rocky’ history at Kennedy Center event President Trump rewrote Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky” history at a Kennedy Center event honoring the actor who brought fighter Rocky Balboa to life.

No lie too small — Stallone famously insisted on starring in ‘Rocky’, which he wrote.

Trump claims studio execs insisted he do it and he didn’t want to. Just… why?

Q: Indian officials say there are other countries buying Russian oil, like China. Why are you singling Indian out for these additional sanctions?

TRUMP: It's only been 8 hours so let's see what happens. You're gonna see so much secondary sanctions.

Former DOGE engineer says federal waste and fraud were 'relatively nonexistent' NPR's Juana Summers talks with Sahil Lavingia, who worked for the Department of Government Efficiency as a software engineer assigned to the Department of Veterans Affairs, about his experience.

All along its goal was to gain access to critical government information and personal data to sell it off to the highest bidder.

I’m also seeing video on here of ICE going ham in an LA Home Depot parking lot, just a few days after it was reported that Stephen Miller was yelling at DHS/ICE officials to target Home Depot for migrants to sweep up.

Welcome to America, where protesting illegal kidnappings without due process is an insurrection, but attacking the nation’s Capitol is not.

Trump is turning legal immigrants into illegal ones by just declaring it 'undone' ... including people who fought with us and/or supported our troops at great personal danger. (GIFT ARTICLE)

Adam Serwer on America's "new dark age" "They see this as a long-term investment in a more ignorant population reliant on sources of information they can control."

“They want everyone to believe what they believe. When Trump changes his mind about something, then you need to believe that, too. It’s functionally a totalitarian political view that says, ‘You’re allowed to think and say what I want you to think and say.’”

Letter from a Palestinian political prisoner in Louisiana dictated over the phone from ICE detention

March 18, 2025

My name is Mahmoud Khalil and I am a political prisoner. I am writing to you from a detention facility in Louisiana where I wake to cold mornings and spend long days bearing witness to the quiet injustices underway against a great many people precluded from the protections of the law.

Who has the right to have rights? It is certainly not the humans crowded into the cells here. It isn't the Senegalese man I met who has been deprived of his liberty for a year, his legal situation in limbo and his family an ocean away. It isn't the 21-year-old detainee I met, who stepped foot in this country at age nine, only to be deported without so much as a hearing.

Justice escapes the contours of this nation's immigration facilities.

On March 8, I was taken by DHS agents who refused to provide a warrant, and accosted my wife and me as we returned from dinner. By now, the footage of that night has been made public. Before I knew what was happening, agents handcuffed and forced me into an unmarked car. At that moment, my only concern was for Noor's safety. I had no idea if she would be taken too, since the agents had threatened to arrest her for not leaving my side. DHS would not tell me anything for hours - I did not know the cause of my arrest or if I was facing immediate deportation. At 26 Federal Plaza, I slept on the cold floor. In the early morning hours, agents transported me to another facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey. There, I slept on the ground and was refused a blanket despite my request.

My arrest was a direct consequence of exercising my right to free speech as I advocated for a free Palestine and an end to the genocide in Gaza, which resumed in full force Monday night. With January's ceasefire now broken, parents in Gaza are once again cradling too-small shrouds, and families are forced to weigh starvation and displacement against bombs. It is our moral imperative to persist in the struggle for their complete freedom.

I was born in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria to a family which has been displaced from their land since the 1948 Nakba. I spent my youth in proximity to yet distant from my homeland. But being Palestinian is an experience that transcends borders. I see in my circumstances similarities to Israel's use of administrative detention imprisonment without trial or charge - to strip Palestinians of their rights. I think of our friend Omar Khatib, who was incarcerated without charge or trial by Israel as he returned home from travel. I think of Gaza hospital director and pediatrician Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, who was taken captive by the Israeli military on December 27 and remains in an Israeli torture camp today. For Palestinians, imprisonment without due process is commonplace.

I have always believed that my duty is not only to liberate myself from the oppressor, but also to liberate my oppressors from their hatred and fear. My unjust detention is indicative of the anti-Palestinian racism that both the Biden and Trump administrations have demonstrated over the past 16 months as the U.S. has continued to supply Israel with weapons to kill Palestinians and prevented international intervention. For decades, anti-Palestinian racism has driven efforts to expand U.S. laws and practices that are used to violently repress Palestinians, Arab Americans, and other communities. That is precisely why I am being targeted.
