My friend said they wanted to try playing D&D, so I bought this.

MÖRK BORG is a pitch-black, rules-light apocalyptic fantasy RPG about scum and fools seeking redemption, forgiveness or the last remaining riches in a bleak, dying world. Inspired by extreme metal music, it's grimdark turned to 11. A spiked flail to the face.

#12 Black Powder & Brimstone
A grimdark fantasy RPG, compatible with MÖRK BORG. Embark on a dark and daring adventure where death and destruction lurks around every corner. It features a number of wonderful artworks. I especially like the physical version of this game.
#11 CHOROGAIDEN
It blends classic Japanese horror with eldritch mysteries. The intrinsic Pool and Eyescape system ensure the horror rapidly increases as the player’s succeed in meddling in forces beyond their understanding, success that could mean their end as the Eyes begin to open.
As far as I know, there is no English edition.
A muscular man lit from below in orange firelight wears a large animal skull around his head with long protruding antlers silhouetted against a nigh sky above tall pine trees. Intricate runes cover his bare torso. Painted for Liminal rpg written by Paul Mitchener.

I agree with you. Hmm, what kind of platform or community do you think would work better?
Quick and dirty chiros for the Fomoria discord.
Thanks! That sounds good. I’m actually planning to release an original game through Maelström as well, so something like that might help with promotion too.
文脈によっては英語の方が圧縮されるときと、日本語の方が圧縮されるとき両方がありますけど、それでも基本的に日本語は漢字と略語の圧縮力がすごいですよね~
That said, running a community sounds difficult🤔
But more and more Japanese creators want to share their games overseas, and I’d like to help them.
I think that’s a good idea too. Unfortunately, these days it feels like a small place where only a handful of people talk about specific topics. But I’m not the admin of that server, and they’re enjoying it as it is, so I’m not the one who should be suggesting re-launch.
I think there’s a need for a Discord server where people can come together to keep up with news about Japanese and English-language games, introduce their own games to each other’s countries, and connect across cultures through TTRPGs. Would you be happy if there were a place like that?
I feel that the indie TTRPG communities in Japan and the rest of the world once grew closer, but are now becoming fragmented again. Many people in Japan are still on X, and It has also become less likely for updates shared by Japanese indie designers to reach English-speaking audiences.

This game is one of my favorites. I sometimes recommend it to friends.🍕
#10 The Hunted
Folk horror storytelling game. Players take on the role of a group of friends on an expedition who become cut off from civilisation as they are hunted by an unknown entity. As the game continues the players will tell their own stories about the thing hunting them and unique legend.
#9 ガラクティア(Garactier)
This is a Japanese roguelike TTRPG. You are a machine implanted with a human consciousness. Explore the ruins of an ancient civilization(Yes, this is a post-apocalyptic world), fight creatures, gather items, and upgrade yourself to become stronger.
#8 Into the Odd
In the industrial age, you are an Explorer, braving places too remote for maps and too ancient for records. Your expeditions uncover the bizarre, the wondrous, and the horrific...
I haven’t had a chance to play this game yet. The system seems great, so I’d love to play it someday.
"This vague, Fromsoftian way of writing the setting has encouraged people to discuss and speculate a lot, and I wanna add fuel to that fire."
I stand by this. Salt, Spit and Silver is available soon. My goal is that it will make characters feel more grounded in a slightly more fleshed-out world.
Fomoria takes place in a dark, weird and inhospitable subterranean world. Player characters take the role of Folk, children of the lost Surface, shaped by a Sun they’ve never seen. Draped in claw and strangeness, they gather under clans that hold the last embers of purpose and order.
I just backed Fomoria – Epic Folk Horror Roleplaying on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/jno...
It’s almost 11:00 PM here in Japan, but I’m still awake because I’m hyped for the Fomoria launch.
