I haven't watched SportsCenter in a long, long time.
I didn't see anything that happened in sports today, got back late, turned on ESPN, and ... ten minutes and counting of WWE in the first 14 minutes of the show?!
Nothing at all against this stuff if it's your thing, but ...

2026 NFL Draft Center Rankings: CFN’s College Football Perspective collegefootballnews.com/nfl/2026-nfl...
Yes, the Play-In Tournament is TOTALLY a part of NBA Playoffs ... 67% of all NBA teams make the post-season
Fewer than 9% of teams make the College Football Playoff, and fewer than 19% of teams make the men's NCAA Tournament
It's 2026. The NCAA punishing a team for the tickiest-tackiest of recruiting violations now is like Blockbuster trying to collect a late fee for that DVD of Good Will Hunting sitting in the back of your closet
Ooooooh, Iowa has to vacate wins ...
Seriously, to everyone not familiar with this UConn team and screaming about the foul disparity (with Michigan going back to the line as we speak) ...
UConn is 310th in the nation in free throw attempts, and 243rd in fouls committed, for a reason
Here’s the weirdest thing about all the politicians looking to “fix” college sports
Who loses if the proposals go through? SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12 schools
The ones with the massive alumni bases, media markets, and rich donors who give $ to other things - like politicians
OLD April Fools’ Day articles I did that could come true in a 2026 world …

Big Ten To Become The BIG Conference
Glad these games are so late - tonight's Big Ten basketball porn is getting filthier
Is Arkansas playing with four guys on defense?
I know this has become totally lost, but colleges and universities don't need sports to function as an institution of higher learning.
"How is (insert school) supposed to compete?"
Well ... don't, if you don't want to invest in the entertainment. Go teach students stuff.
Nine schools won both an NCAA men's basketball title and a college football national championship (only AP, Coaches/UPI, and NCF pre-1936 count ... no on 1964 Arkansas football)
4 are obvious, 3 are gettable, and no chance on the last 2 (power conference programs, but I had no shot)

I need an "I'd rather be in a Vegas sportsbook right now for the last three minutes of Nebraska-Vanderbilt" bumper sticker
The only reason Cinderella got the prince was because of a fantastic NIL deal from a well-to-do benefactor that put all the pieces in place.
A 12-seed playing well in the second round of the NCAA Tournament is not that.
Ahh yes. That inevitable moment that happens every season in football, and occasionally in college basketball, when Hell, reality, and a power program all come to breakfast
And, sure as the next AP poll, next year there will be another James Madison, Tulane, and Miami University
There’s sports brutal, and there’s seeing your team get knocked out of the NCAA Tournament early Thursday to a school that sounds like a dispensary next to the Applebees.
Not being hyperbolic in any way, Siena knocking Duke out in the first round would be the single greatest moment in the history of our planet
I know how awesome this Dick Vitale and Charles Barkley show is - and with zero rooting interest, I'm loving it.
But if I'm a die-hard Texas or NC State fan, and I'm living and dying with every possession, I'm sort of annoyed in a 45-42 game with nine minutes left
Done with the Miami University beef - time to have fun - but fascinating how much media influence KenPom (big fan, BTW) and NET have, and yet ...
Miami Univ: KenPom 93, NET 64
Missouri 52/58
UCF 54/51
Auburn 38/38
Oklahoma 40/48
Indiana 46/41
SDSU 48/47
Cincinnati 44/49
WAIT, hold up
Not only did Missouri barely get in, but as a 10 seed, it gets to play in (checks schedule ...) SAINT LOUIS against 7 seed Miami!?
The Hurricanes and the ACC have a right to break something tasteful over this
MIAMI UNIVERSITY LOST TO UMASS when it mattered
No one - absolutely no one - seems to have cared
The NCAA Tournament committee has a chance to get instant inclusion in the Cheeky Hall of Fame by making Auburn vs Miami University a first four game
Miami University getting immediately knocked out of the MAC Tournament by a horrible UMass team appears to be the most instantly forgiven and memory dumped bad losses in human history
Meanwhile, other bubble teams are getting dinged for too many Quad 1 losses
For the love of all that is right in a world gone totally mad, don’t be that person who uses AI to fill out your bracket
And if you do, don’t you dare brag that you got the High Point pick right
Let me be the first to say it before we get going. Unless you’re a media type with some knowledge and insight …
Absolutely no one cares about your bracket
Sorry - I still can’t get past this
Every college hoops type can point to one random game in some November tournament at a resort, and when it mattered, no one remembered the Florida State football win over Alabama or ANYTHING about Notre Dame’s losses to Miami and Texas A&M
Still among the bigger things that didn’t get discussed on the College Football Playoff side - Indiana was the 1, and it technically got hosed seed-wise after Miami beat Texas A&M
Not reseeding - and this goes triple for the NCAA Tournament - is about as unfair as it gets
No matter how this shakes out today with the bubble teams and the brackets, one thing has become absolutely crystal clear.
College basketball is WAY better and more meticulous at picking 68 teams than college football is at picking 12.
It’s not the most overrated thing in sports, but it’s up there - worrying about and speculating seeds in a tournament that doesn’t reseed.
