Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
It was wonderful to be part of this, meet many people after sooo many years 🫣 & get to know many great young health economists! The boat dinner was so much fun 🤩 also, chatting with @jmwooldridge.bsky.social about the good old days at the #BGPE courses in Muggendorf 😉 Thanks for organizing!
One-year visiting position for advanced female postdocs in Dresden. I am happy to host anyone broadly interested in applied micro. Salary within the German public sector's pay scale (TV-L, E13-E15). Deadline: Sept 15, 2025. Please share widely! 👇
Thanks Jan!
Many thanks to everyone who supported me along the way. A follow-up paper looking at the health consequences of this event is in progress😅
Extremely proud to see this paper forthcoming in JOLE. Exploiting an educational reform that occurred in Germany in the 1960s, I show that exposure to less instructional time in the classroom leads to lower skills, worse educational attainment, and lower lifetime earnings👇
So proud of you! ☺️
Wow! Congrats, Dimitria! 💪
It was great to have Katja Kaufmann (@unibayreuth.bsky.social) presenting her paper on 'Peer Effects in Financial Decisions' in our research seminar at @tudresden.bsky.social yesterday, and we finally caught up a bit over dinner afterwards 😊
Requirements: Completed PhD & credible proof of threat
📢 Full scholarships for international researchers at risk from non-EU countries (Philipp Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation). Interested in spending 24 (+12) months at @tudresden.bsky.social & looking for a host in the field of applied microeconomics? DM me ASAP.
Check out our new IZA DP! We show that Germans move across regions more often than many realize - especially around important educational decisions and early in their careers. However, we find no causal link between education and regional mobility👇
