"BP’s first completely new oilfield in the Gulf since the company’s Deepwater Horizon disaster 16 years ago.
It will be deeper than Deepwater Horizon, and in riskier waters... drilling 6 miles below the sea floor, deeper than the height of Mt. Everest"

Hell yeah
Lot of actually good writers have chimed in here already but what I find helps is to figure out the part that I'm surest of and feel the strongest about and write that part first, that usually clarifies what else needs to go in and how
Then fix everything afterwards

I think the reason AI propagandists are so flustered by the fact that no real writer wants to use their idiotic tools is that they themselves don't enjoy writing. They see it as a boring arduous chore to be avoided, while real writers actually enjoy writing and actually care about the quality of it.
NYTimes Headline: The Women Who Believe That Women Should Lose the Right to Vote Subhead: Adherents to biblical patriarchy support household voting: One household, one vote--the husband's. They say the idea is catching on.
The New York Times rolling up its sleeves to do the hard work of normalizing the idea that women should not have the right to vote.

As with most AI output I’ve seen, it’s oftentimes sexualized violent depictions of women and children and also blatant copyright theft. That appears to be most of what it’s good for
I’ll second this. If you’re in New Mexico stop by.
I can confirm that people who are already exhausted and scared of going through TSA and flying right now, people who have just been told to wait in a line for 4+ hours, are absolutely furious to see ICE agents—a stark reminder of who exactly is to blame for this situation

Regardless of whether or not you agree with it or believe it will be effective, I think a massive general strike in opposition to AI is inevitable. It could be a year. It could be a few years. But it's coming. Masses of unemployed, angry people with a lot of time on their hands.
lmao the eurovision mascot is so ugly I literally screamed at this reveal
I’ve been finishing Virginia Giuffre’s memoir little by little. Between that and the endless parade of stories about sexual violence and abuse on social media and in the news, where women seem to be the main people who get punished, I’m psychologically exhausted and could sleep for a year
Generative AI's main problems are (1) the math doesn't math, (2) the products don't work as well as their promoters claim, and (3) it's eroding the web itself. Those are very real problems. But they aren't Field of Dreams Fallacy-type problems.
