A headshot of Alfred Enoch
(cont)
Just caught Henry V at the RSC starring Alfred Enoch, who happens to be the son of William Russell, so stumbling across DT's seat was nice bonus.

Reecy and parent with a statue of Shakespeare
Last stop touring my folks around the UK is the most touristy thing we've done in the last two weeks
Gone fishing
Doing the can can all night long
Six souls of the innocent (or best offer)
Ruins of a cathedral
Tower and more ruins
As a fan of Connie Willis' "To Say Nothing of the Dog", it was necessary to detour to the ruins of Coventry Cathedral.
A waist-height metal end table that is a fairly realistic looking pair of men's legs in boots below what is supposed to be slashed Tudor style shorts, and stops there.
But obviously this table is the true crown jewel of York
A stone sculpture in the stone yard of York Minster cathedral in England. It depicts a distraught, toothy demon with a lizard crawling out of its throat and a tiny man's head poking out from between his legs
You ever have a day like
A plaque on a brick wall that reads WH Auden (1907 to 1973) Wyston Hugh Arden, poet, was born in this house on the 21st February 1907
A wide shot of the brick Georgian house the plaque is on the wall of
Just happened upon the birthplace of poet W.H. Auden in York, England. Thanks to Christopher Isherwood for alerting me to his existence in the first place!

Reecy selfie on a tower overlooking a stone castle
I've been studying a bit of the Welsh language. This was my first time trying to say the longest place name in the UK (but apparently not actually the world):
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
spoilers, I did not nail it

Eating Welsh cakes and local cheddar in a fancy Conwy manor house while watching #TOTP reruns.
That's true dedication
Reecy on the seaside. Behind her is a row of colourful Victorian houses, and a castle on the hillside
Good morning from Cricceith, Wales
A photo of a green mountain, valley and blue sky with rain clouds
North Wales is full of texture

My parents are visiting from the dystopian hellscape. Wish you were here x
The base of an old stone tower spiral staircase. A rusted old sign reads "Danger: Dark and Narrow staircase"

Looking up at the ruins of a castle from the inside

That's intense, congratulations for surviving! I'm thankful I have a decade of professional multi terrain driving in the US under my belt. The roads here are no joke!
A photo out of an open window of the lovely stone buildings in historic Hay on Wye. There is a reflection of the sunrising over a hill in the window panes
A single track road through a green hillside pasture full of sheepies
Reecy selfie at an overlook near the top of the gospel pass in Wales (which is sadly still washed out so we weren't able to see much of)
I look so happy because the road widened out to one and a half lanes. (Okay, and maybe this delightful Welsh view)

A photo taken from the windshield of a car. The two way road is barely one lane wide and is hemmed in by tall hedges.
My first day driving in the UK. What excitement! ๐คช
Blind luck, really
A rural English road with a "tanks crossing" sign
Just out for a lovely little drive in the English countryside
Reecy failing at a selfie in front of Stonehenge
Took this really great photo with this crazy pile of rocks today
Oh wait, nevermind
