We've quietly shipped a few systems to keep Record Club a fair and trustworthy place.
Accounts that show signs of artificial activity – like bulk liking/commenting or coordinated boosting – are now throttled and demoted in rankings.
This is ongoing work. If something feels off, let us know. 🛡️

Yeah, that's definitely a regression. It's now been fixed. Thanks as always!
Hi! You've definitely hit a soft limit (which was way too low…). It's now been fixed – hope it works better now!
Yeah, agreed! Our main purple color doesn't work too great in dark mode. I've been meaning to slightly re-design that navbar for a while now.
The redirect should now work!
That's a big clue! Thanks.
Yeah, there's definitely a bug here. I'll investigate why! In the meantime I've un-drafted that review (which means it'll get it the correct publish date and all). Thanks for letting us know!
The indicator that said there were 2 reviews is now fixed (it used to include drafts as well)!
I see what the issue is on this screen in particular. Look closely and you'll see it says "There are no releases tagged reissue review". The default view is for releases, not reviews. We should probably redirect to reviews if there are no releases with that tag…
Hi again! Were these two reviews published close to each other? I can see that you have a draft review of it as well, so perhaps something went wrong there. If you check in your drafts, is is there?
Our filter of "draft = true" is probably busted on that list view, so we're gonna fix that now!
Oh no, that's indeed a very serious bug. I'll look into it immediately. Fortunately, everything should be recoverable. I'll get back to you!
Hey! Sorry about that – this has now been fixed. (Our bug reporting system has been blowing up overnight with reports of this). We were fixing a different bug but managed to introduce a new one instead. Ah, the joy of software development. Hope everything works as intended now!
Oh, cool. #recordclub's #Bluesky account is now bridged to the #Fediverse: @record.club
NEW: Drafts are here — something a lot of you have been asking for. Start a review, close it, come back later. Record Club will even recover it automatically if something goes wrong.

Lol, we really need to fix this – thanks for the reminder!
Record Club is now on Google Play! Same experience as the web version, but now with native push notifications.

Glad to hear it, thank you!
I’m thinking it would be ideal if we could add a button next to the toast (”removed from your rotation”) where you can click and it automatically adds it to your diary? We’ll need to have a think!
This is now available as a setting under Preferences.
We decided not to automatically copy over any existing rating, but let us know what you think of this new feature.
NEW: You can now subscribe to any list and see new additions in your activity feed (even if you don't follow the creator).
It's usually because the status is not set to official or it's using an unspecified release type (we only support albums, EPS, singles and broadcasts), or something went wrong with the import. You can always quick-import a missing release. Read more in our FAQ: record.club/about/faq
That’s a great idea! I’ll add this to the backlog. I need this myself.
Thank you! It was indeed a bug. We've now fixed it and you should have access to your stats. Sorry about the inconvenience!
Oh that's not good. What's your username?
Thanks for the kind words! After our Android app (which is close to being done), we're re-focusing on an import/export feature and RYM and last.fm will be the first services we're gonna support. I can't give an ETA on it yet, but stay tuned!
Ah, that's annoying. I think you're hitting un-cached endpoints where we haven't been very good at optimizing the code. All of our requests time out after 1.5 seconds if it doesn't complete in time, regardless if it's because of us or a slow connection. We'll dig a bit to see if we can optimize it.
FYI: Personalized stats for Supporters are delayed but coming soon.
