The key to making a 7m x 7m x 7m cube of hydrophones underwater is to use stereo cables (with 2 hydros on each cable). Then you can just run one cable to each corner of the large sailboat to setup a 3D hydrophone array. Hear the clicks of snapping shrimp: thomasrexbeverly.com/products/sna...

I usually record at 96K for ambiences. 192K if I am doing things like underwater recording where there are lots of ultrasonics.

These trees somehow grow straight out of the lava. Great spot for a pair of "tree-ears" mics to catch some of the musical calls of the Apapane as it perches on this isolated tree.
