Been playing HtR Beast of Glenkildove - Hunters vs Wolfys, text based story, kinda adult choose your own adventure. Lots of story options. Really enjoying it. Heaps of World of Darkness elements weaved in. @worldofdarkness.bsky.social

What is your favourite Bible verse? (Wrong answers only)
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill." — Blade
New Backpack :)
Layout for Vampire the Masquerade 2e, Dungeon World, Urban Shadows (1e), Dungeon Crawl Classics, Shadowrun 5e, Forbidden Lands. I like VtM 2e and Forbidden lands best.
Talking about Donald Trump having dementia just gives a sympathetic excuse for inexcusable preexisting conditions. Donald has *always* been a mean, self-centered, incoherent fool who says stupid and ignorant things.
I like 3d environment, not just flat levels linked by stairs, but chutes, side passages, pits, chasms, grottos, caves, river of water or lava running near/through several rooms, tunnels, a big room or two that you can access from multiple levels
3-monsters/intelligent threats in the area,
4-making a bunch of noise will escalate the situation either briefly or permenantly
guess I prefer regular dungeon crawl over a mega dungeon
like going into a damaged facility in Aliens or retrieving critical supplies from a basement in The Walking Dead or raiding a corporate facility in Shadowrun is still a dungeon crawl
1-physically confined space with limited exits,
2-dangerous traps/hazards in the area,
After awhile they just stopped trying to roleplay or trying to stealth around, just kick doors in and destroy everything. Jokes about can't we just earthquake/meteor swarm this place and sift through the rubble
there are different sorts of dungeon crawl -
Thoughts on Dungeons in #ttrpgs #rpg #dnd
Mixed feelings about Dungeon Crawling to be honest, like had some great adventures in dungeons, especially ones with 5 to 30 rooms, but the big ones like Undermountain or Temple of Elemental Evil (400 rooms), people got pretty bored after room 50?
its very under rated, lots of neat options and room to insert your own flavour
i liked how when you change your appearance it effects how npcs react to you, lots of games don't have that detail

Sorry 220 days till GTA 6
Liked the basics of Fab Ult but bounced off some of the casters having completely seperate subsystems, more cognitive load :/
Morning all : 34 days until Eurovision, 59 days till World Cup starts, 78 days till EOFY, 201 days till Halloween, 256 days till Christmas, 536 days till The Batman 2 comes out, 585 days till GTA 6 comes out.

36 - Macchiato Monsters : Combination of the OSR games White Hack & Black Hack, Generic Fantasy (though the mechanics make it dark, it gets rough) Quick to learn, good mid level crunch and plenty of room to add your own style, flavour, options.
Look @brianbloodaxe.bsky.social another OSR game :)
35 - Trophy Gold - from Jesse Ross, Fantasy OSR/PBTA mix. Played a few games of this, great fun, some good writers room-cooperative game play. Bunch of great adventures (incursions) out there available.
34 - Dresden Files Accelerated - from @evilhat.bsky.social Fate Accelerated version of the Modern Supernatural stories - The Dresden Files (Jim Butcher) Not played this one, definitely made by fans of the novels. Tons of flavour and style.
haven't seen that cover before :P
yeah these threads are fun, got to 74 likes and 33 games posted, trying to find other games I own digital/print copies of :P
RPG Library continued...
Hunter the Vigil by @theonyxpath.bsky.social dark urban horror investigation/survival - Hunters are in tier 1-3 for survival, capability & influence. Various cryptids and monsters to take on. Haven't played yet, read through gives a gritty mystery and frantic combat vibe.
Vampire the Requiem by @theonyxpath.bsky.social Modern Horror genre - Some nice art but I think this is the game in my RPG library I have the least knowledge of. Again more Anne Rice than Blade/Twilight. I know its part of the Chronicles of Darkness line - Requiem/Vigil/Forsaken/Awakening etc.
Forbidden Lands by the wonders at Free League Publishing - Dark Fantasy Survival game, rediscover the lost lands. Have not played yet, but I know many folks who have played multiple campaigns and love it! Check how amazeballs the artwork is!
Simple rules, rich setting to explore.
