It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.

The irony? Orig unit empty now - it's his family's residence when he's in US & that's not happening for awhile now.

We serendipitously found unit right next door, left his river rock ass behind.

Moral of that story? Get to know your neighbors!

Not by choice! Old landlord did bait & switch, got us in & announced remodeling plans 2 months later (built our original unit into 3 bd 2 story townhouse).

We moved to other unit & lived through 2 yrs of construction hell & yard covered completely with river rock.

We've moved 4 times^^ in the last six years.

Today, I recounted our journey as we repositioned our potted outdoor plants.

Happily, 2/3rd had been with us for the long haul!

^^ We landed in Vancouver for move #2, relocated to different duplex (#3) under duress 6 mos later. Move #4 6 months ago.

Everyone in my little neighborhood mowed their lawns today.

Thankfully, most used electric or rechargeable battery operated mowers. (We have latter & yep, we started this party!)

Now: windows wide open to capture that fresh grass smell well.

Bonus! no exhaust or gas fumes.
