You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

Hey call me a crazy radical left wing anarchist extremist but I actually don't think anyone should have the power to threaten the world with nuclear war, even if they use calm, grammatical language to do it.

Let me say this plainly: Iranian children have as much of a right to live and thrive as American children.

Their babies MUST be as precious to me as my 6 niblings and my baby grandnib are IF I want them to have a future.

If I want a future for my kin AND humanity, I MUST act like it.

So must you.

It's probably a good idea to listen to the people who were saying "abolish ICE" ten years ago and pay attention to what dangers they're pointing out now and maybe get on board with that stuff too

Fevers are dangerous early in pregnancy and Tylenol is the only fever reducer pregnant people are supposed to take. In this freak’s mind, having a baby with congenital anomalies incompatible with life is *less bad* than having a child with autism

Hundreds of Alligator Alcatraz detainees drop off the grid after leaving site As of the end of August, the whereabouts of two-thirds of more than 1,800 men detained at Alligator Alcatraz during the month of July could not be determined by the Miami Herald.

The people they are kidnapping are disappearing.

Jason Delgado (Florida Capitol reporter for Spectrum News 13) on X: "Quick look at what inside a detainment tent looks like here at Alligator Alcatraz." What is shown in the picture is a long tent structure, about 50 feet wide. There is a corridor running down the middle. On each side are three rows of bunk beds. The bunk beds are sectioned off into cells which are constructed out of chain link fence, with chain link on the ceiling as well, making each cell a literal cage. It looks to me like each cell contains 9 bunk beds, so has capacity for 18 people each.

Literal cages. Not even metaphorical ones. Literal ones.

Child care is now rivaling home costs The average cost of child care for a baby exceeds in-state college tuition in 41 states. For families with two kids in child care, it’s more than a mortgage or rent in most states.

What Hippocratic oath? This is horrible and will absolutely harm trans youth.

If you’re a health care provider looking for support and to organize and strategize with others around resisting criminalization in health care and not complying in advance, connect with our Beyond Do No Harm network:

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

say it again:

4 million people work in higher ed, the largest employer in 10 states, second largest employer in 10 more, and in 60 of the 100 biggest cities

ROI for NIH and NSF for local economies is conservatively 4x, often close to 10x

demolishing higher education is economic sabotage

I know we blame capitalism for a lot of things but I really struggle to believe there is any other system under which quite this many resources would be expended making me see ads encouraging me to replace my morning coffee with some kind of mushroom slop.

The breathtaking gall it takes for WaPo to defend the cowardly decision to hide the names of the authors of the HHS report at a time where gender-affirming care providers are routinely doxed and threatened by extremists, both private and state actors alike. But sure, their feelings might get hurt.
