Are the PDFs you create accessible?
We built {pdfcheck}, an R package that checks PDF accessibility and gives you actionable fixes—not just technical error messages.
If you make reports with R, Quarto, or typst, {pdfcheck} is something you might want to use.

Public health funding cuts hit deprived areas hardest. A scatter plot shows real-terms per capita changes in public health allocations for English local authorities from 2015/16 to 2025/26. More deprived areas faced above-average cuts, while least deprived areas saw smaller reductions. Source: Health Foundation analysis of DHSC Public Health allocations.
Since 2015/16, the public health grant in England (paid to local authorities for health prevention services) has been cut by 26% per person. However, more deprived areas have seen much greater decreases furthering the divide.

I have now also ported the color vision deficiency simulation app to Shiny live. Advantage is this runs entirely in your browser, even though you "upload" the image it never leaves your computer.
Simply amazing!!
A chart showing the relationship between vehicle weight and fatality rates in two-vehicle crashes. The fatality rate increases dramatically with the weight of the car, particularly above 5,000 lbs. The text notes that the fatality rate is approximately seven times higher when colliding with a heavy pickup truck than with a compact car.
Great piece of work in The Economist looking at how heavier cars are far more likely to kill other people. These issues require regulation imo, as the market will only push people towards increasingly heavier cars to 'protect' themselves

Every one of these is a gem, but my favorite is right in the lede. What a delightful breaking of the frame! 📊
