you can see where the patches were installed. Nick did a great job that reduced optical loading on NICER significantly. We are still optimizing as optical light still affects us. We will gain more science from this repair. Night time science with NICER is still perfect!

Brazil has many homeless dogs but these home brewed shelters have begun to pop up over the years.

This shelter normally has about 400 dogs, but the flooding in the area last year ticked up the population to over 700.

Lami is near Itapua where my wife grew up.

In Brazil for the holidays. We visited a couple in Lami, RGS- near Porto Alegre. They made their own shelter for homeless dogs and cats. They currently have over 700 dogs.
