I misread the tweet, and couldn't for the life of me figure out how Braille pasta would work.

How do humanists find meaning in life? Humanists believe that life's meaning is not given to us, but that human beings can create meaning and happiness themselves. Humanists find purpose in relationships, creativity, helping others, and making a positive impact on the world around us. Each person's path is different. Humanists support everyone#s right to think for themselves and shape their own life.
I heard there was
a secret cord
that David kept
in his cable hoard
but he can never find it
when he needs it
Aaaand it still triggered a migraine and fatigue. Well, shit. ๐
I'm glad you also think it's not aquatic. I was going through all the aquatic stuff I know and thought I was losing it!

My local nature reserve has an all-terrain mobility scooter you can borrow for free, and I finally got to go for a 'walk' in nature for the first time in months!!! I'm so happy!
Can anyone help ID this? Found in a UK pond.
My best guess is that it's not actually an aquatic larva but has found it's way in by mistake.
(theres a couple more pics in the thread)
It's not often I'm so completely stumped by pond life. I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest it's not meant to be aquatic?! I have had earthworms living at least a week in my pond before. Hmmmmmmm...
Ha! I hadn't seen that before!
I just learned that Barry Scott isn't actually called Barry Scott, he's a character played by an actor ๐ณ
This is worse than finding out Santa isn't real.
Curious! I think it's an insect larva of some sort. The size is unusual. Wrong face for a diving beetle or rat tailed maggot (hoverfly). Maybe a caddisfly out of its shell?
If you can catch it so we can see the full length of the body and the various limbs/spiky bits, maybe I can ID it further.
HELP: I'm really struggling to think of any examples of characters/actors with energy-limiting disabilities in TV or film.
I can't help but end up feeling like it's just too difficult to accommodate for energy-limiting illnesses.
I don't think that dude's gonna make it
As the quote goes:
Keeping honeybees to "save the bees" is like keeping chickens to "save the birds".
I did! But then lost nearly all of the detail because I used the wrong primer and added too much paint to cover it ๐ข
I have herps again! ๐
First newts of the year - one smooth, one palmate (a rarity in Cambridgeshire)
Thanks! Maybe 2h to sculpt and 3h to paint.
Painted mini of gnome on a snow leopard
It's so small!
Adding milliput to the 3d printed model
Painted my first ever D&D mini - my gnome ranger Merris and her snow leopard companion Jasper.
Had a lot of fun using milliput to sculpt the generic panther shape into a snow leopard before figuring out the idiosyncracies of speedpaint.
Inventor of the light bulb: "I've just had a great idea!"
Bystander: "What the HELL is that thing above your head!??!
Here's my mum talking about how she made one of her pieces, including some rather cool techniques like burning and dissolving fabric:

If you're a victim of repeated flooding, you need to start looking at land use upstream.
One of these sponges up vast amounts of water, releasing it slowly, the other does not. One reduces flooding, the other *increases* it.
Without addressing this core driver, it'll just keep on getting worse.
Frogs and toads. Ponds become a writhing ball of amorous amphibians.
Textile Whispers exhibit flyer, 1st Feb to 8th March, with my mum's embroidered birch trees
Embroidered/textile art of bridge on a lake and hidden geese
Embroidered/textile art of cliff flowers and a beach. I think this one has a hidden crab
Embroidered/textile summer flowers work in progress. I can't remember if the hidden animal had been added at this point yet.

Very proud that my mum's work is being exhibited at the Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch. Every scene has a tiny animal hidden somewhere, especially for me!

If you guessed "at home calmly sat at my sewing machine having a peaceful time working on my cuddly toy craft project" then well done you.
Because apparently my body can't differentiate between sitting still with my feet on the floor and jogging ๐
For two hours??? Hell no.
