Molluscans are semi-aquatic but they must keep their gills moist in order to extract oxygen from air. they can hang out on land for a while before they need to dip back in

this means that in adult molluscans, their tails are mostly vestigial. they primarily act as fat stores! in "larger" molluscans, they are heavy not very prehensile and usually just drag behind them as they walk, though slimmer molluscans have full control of them

molluscans don't have proper bones, their pseudo-skeletons are made of tightly-wound muscle tissue that's essentially turned into industrial cable. they actually start life as little slugs, using their tails as their main means of locomotion. they gain limbs over time kinda like tadpoles

"Molluscan" is a very earth centric way to refer to them as they are not molluscs, they are aliens... but they do resemble aquatic molluscs somewhat. it stuck as the main english name for their species

there are some Molluscans who live on earth (mivvy included!)
they were marooned on earth after a botched attempt to blow it up and get the prize inside. it's mostly marzie's soldiers and staff. they live in a deep, narrow lake just outside viola and claire's town!

their second stomach acts like a gizzard, since they don't have teeth in their mouth it kinda functions as a blender. it'll contract to mechanically break down food. and their third stomach is essentially the same as yours, with acid to break down food chemically
