Since I’m a government lawyer, evidently I’m manipulating people for well below what the market says I should be getting. So I guess I’m a shitty human and I’m not even reaping the rewards.

Things I’ve done as a lawyer: (1) help media get access to public records and court proceedings; (2) run my state’s agency that enforces employment, housing, and disability anti-discrimination laws, (3) represent state and local election officials who support democracy. Am I a shitty human?
Congressman Andy Biggs, or maybe someone on his staff, called my boss and tried to get me fired because I had the audacity to point out (to my 1k Twitter followers) his hypocrisy. He closed his offices during COVID, while demanding everything else remain open for the "economy."
Maybe for the uninitiated, but those of us who’ve seen you utterly dismantle hypocrites and bullshit artists know this is mere entry-level criticism (which Gallego definitely deserves),
Indeed. But the AZ Democratic Party is absolutely terrible at finding good candidates. I want Gallego to be better or to be replaced by a candidate who isn’t a regular embarrassment and doesn’t endorse people like Platner. Until the AZ Dem bench improves, however, he’s better than Kari Lake.
Okay, this is a great idea.
No, this is a standard age breakdown. It just happens that Gen X (1965-80) are between 45 and 60 today, so largely fit into one age band.
Once again, Marc Elias ignores the work state AGs are doing and acts like his clients’ intervention in these cases was the deciding factor.
The state of Oregon and the Secretaries of State of California, Michigan, and Massachusetts have won the first four cases, represented by their respective AGs. Your clients intervened. Give credit where it is due.
The corroborating evidence may not all be in the story, but no major news publisher hasn’t satisfied itself that the information it publishes in a story like this is true. 2/2
If the reporter were lying, they and their publication could face substantial liability for defamation. As a lawyer who has represented newspapers, I can assure you there was prepublication review that involved a lot of questions about how the reporter knows what they wrote is true. 1/2
Avenatti just got out of prison.
He’s definitely not a favored son of Arizona. He was a strong progressive Dem in the AZ legislature and the House, from a deep blue district. He only won the Senate because Kari Lake is absolutely toxic.
Yup, bad at OSINT.
Which makes it absolutely wild that his charge comes from making threats to Harmeet Dhillon.
I just remember him being bad at doxxing. He decided that Garrett Archer (former AZSOS employee, now a reporter at the Phoenix ABC affiliate) only paid $10 for his house in AZ because he doesn’t understand what “ten dollars and other valuable consideration” means on a deed.
Here’s the indictment.
Never mind, I found it. All I can say is only one count of cyberstalking? I’ll wait for the superseding indictment.
I’ve been out of the loop. What happened to laser-eyes Jonathon?
Massachusetts AG for the win.
I have worked on many cases with Elias Law Group lawyers, who are fantastic. I do the same work at an AG’s office representing election officials. I just get paid less and Marc takes credit for my work 😏
I’ve spent most of the last 15 years working for state or county government offices doing civil rights enforcement, education, and election law. Great clients, great work, great colleagues.
Roman, yes. Chesebro, was not charged.
This is almost as good as Naomi Wolf’s “Belfast in the 70’s was so idyllic before 5G”
Panel is Millett, Rao, and Garcia. So that will have to be in Rao’s dissent.
Sweet doesn’t deserve this association.
I’m not just guessing. I work with state and local election officials. We’re all working very hard to protect upcoming elections.
Don’t assume that election officials around the country aren’t planning how to prevent this.
Just a reminder that Epshteyn is still under indictment in Arizona for the fake electors scheme.
