I was planning on updating my glasses to PBR in a free update, but I completely misplaced the original .blend files and I'll have to do it by hand and without using the correct materials

I still think it'll be appreciated, but I might have to remake them better at a later date!

The first protocol that actively maintains communication systems with a local account vault for multiple access to servers will pretty much solve the entire thing pff

The only reason it's necessary is that accounts wouldn't be able to access multiple servers that are self hosted, every self host requires a local account to access the channels in those servers

Federation means you can have an account in the main server and connect to any other server, for example

Shukin in gryphon form, sitting at a BDSM themed room in Tabby Noir, looking at the camera with soft lighting, wearing a worn-out leather jacket and a shirt riddled with holes underneath.

Just updated my avi to a bunch of PBR stuff, so why not update my portrait and take a nice screenshot in the meantime, right?

Both are very close in function parity, they're both open source, they're both self-hosteable

So far, I know Fluxer is trying to make federation work, so all the self-hosted servers can be accessed by everyone

On Stoat, video and screensharing are exclusive to self-hosted channels rn

So far, the two best alternatives are Stoat and Fluxer

Both have their own issues with server demand, because of the sudden search, but Stoat is fully donation based, and Fluxer already has a subscription system

They're looking into subs on Stoat for maybe video streaming

It's been so good seeing so many people around in bsky, a lot of great folks I recognize from times past

Hopefully I'll truly be more sociable this time :P

It's hard keeping up with people sometimes, especially when so many things keep happening around everyone

But it's good to have those thoughts from time to time, reaching out is good!

I've been taking that effort myself, and it's always worth it :P
