Preliminary employment and labor force estimates for September produced by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show NJ's total nonfarm employment increased by 10,900 jobs to reach a seasonally-adjusted level of 4,401,800. The state’s unemployment rate rose by 0.2%.
