It’s pretty fucked up that the Nintendo Switch gave all the old games a rewind feature so people can just do that every time they mess up instead of doing what we did which is stop enjoying the game

I refused to give up em dashes when people first started saying that and I refuse to give up the Oxford comma now as well.

“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”

Michael Sheen spent his own money to write off $1.3 million of neighbors’ debts | CNN Actor Michael Sheen has bought $1.3 million of his neighbors’ debts and written them off using $129,000 of his own money.

The actor Michael Sheen used all his money to start a fake debt collecting business, buy 900 people in Wales's debt, and excused it. If Musk bought ALL $194 billion in medical debt in the U.S. and excused it in the same way, he'd still be the world's riches man by hundreds of billions of dollars.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I somewhat agree with you, but not about people in red states deserving to suffer. There are plenty of people in red states who aren’t republicans but whose power is limited by things like Gerrymandering. The poor and POC in these states will always suffer the most when things go wrong.

The money is there. There are contingency funds. Trump is simply not releasing it because he wants people to starve and blame Democrats even though Republicans hold both chambers of Congress and the White House. And the media will happily go along.

I hope everyone in the comics industry realizes that when SNAP benefits end, people will buy fewer comics, which will affect every single person in the business.

If you love comics, please never, ever, ever vote for a Republican.

Also give to your local food bank/mutual aid group if you can.

Twitter is about to become an entirely new (worse) app, because Musk decided to delete the entire algorithm. He's replacing the algorithm with Grok, his personal AI that he had programmed to imitate his own opinions and biases.

If you haven't left already, now is the time!

They’re people who bought into the societal necessity of having the nuclear family, and have never examined if that’s what *they* actually want. So then they’re miserable, and don’t know why, and take it out on the kid.

Now he’s extorting the American people by withholding the money they pay in taxes. He thinks our money is his money to do whatever he wants with including carry out his illegal deeds.
