So the Deep Lake Lurker is about dead kids, but it’s not really about the dead kids. It’s about growing up and losing someone close to you and someone not at all close to you at the same time
It’s about moving on and letting the ghosts of the past lay to rest

Within the span of a year, I lost a cousin of mine to suicide and an academic counselor to Lake Superior during a major storm. Truly, that lake does not give up its dead
That same year was the last summer I went to the scouts program I was in, in part because we’d moved to another state
It’s true! I’ve (perhaps famously) never actually watched Friday the 13th despite somehow recreating it in Public Access
My actual inspirations for the Deep Lake Lurker were a deeply unfortunately named scouts program, my experiences at camp, lots and lots of swimming classes
And loss
I haven't gotten the chance to run Ghost Bros Mystery Show yet. But this is such an exciting Danger.
