A conversation I had with PayPal Support: There is a lot of concern that this will mean that on February 1st, any creators who accept tips from their fans/community via Paypal will now 'leak' their information. PReviously, with a business account it would only show the business name that the person put it. Will this change impact that? Jan 30, 2025 1:00 PM Hey there Zachary! No information will be visible to anyone sending you money, no personal information. So, to fully confirm... No personal details are shared if someone sends you money via something like paypal.me/username. PayPal Support confirms that the February 1st changes to invoice details will only apply when sending invoices.

Regular tips or PayPalme will not share personal details with the person sending you a tip.
