See also: had their cosmetic surgery abroad (usually Turkey) and expect the NHS to manage the complications. And also when they had the surgery in the UK privately. (If you’re going to take money for the surgery you should also be prepared to manage the complications of it).

I find that I tear up far more readily than I did even 10 years ago.
This is absolutely correct. Sarwar and the other Unionists constantly bang on about the SNP’s supposedly poor record in government. In actual fact their record is objectively pretty good, but Sarwar keeps trying to create this false narrative, knowing the media won’t call him out. It’s infuriating.
I hear that, but chances are we are losing both Beni and Devlin (sadly)
The usual narrative is that they pay for Scotland to have these things. Which is so comically wrong it’s not true, but that’s the line they are fed.
Oh, the irony of a party of ex Labour people complaining about a lack of autonomy for Scotland and having decisions taken without their consent.
This lad should go to the World Cup alongside Shankland. He’s the player in form, and we don’t have many strikers we can say that about. But we all know Clarke won’t do that. Hirst or Conway will go instead.
Yes. This is year one of JTA. We didn’t expect a title challenge now. It’s come as a surprise. I also trust that this is only the beginning.
I think McInnes is guilty of being ultra-cautious as the season winds down, trying to get as many CBs on the pitch as possible. Which gives us no creativity.
I’m gutted today, but I’ve never been confident we’d win the title, so less gutted than I might have been, I suppose.
Back on top, just. But you feel it’s slipping away. We’ve lost form at the worst possible time.
Sort of did. 🙁
Hi Hearts,
Don’t make a cunt of it tomorrow.
Thanks
Yep. ‘Oh look, it’s the consequences of my actions! The very ones that I ridiculed when you warned me about them. And yet somehow I still think they were unexpected and someone else’s fault.’
Imagine the howling when they have to pay for it post-Indy.
For a few hours.
Nope, sorry. You’re not putting the Guardian on an equal footing with the Mail. The Guardian is a newspaper. The Mail is a propaganda comic, hence the demotion by Wikipedia. The right-wing equivalent of the Guardian is the Telegraph.
And SM is full of people claiming it was a terrible turnout with hardly anyone there.
The Daily Mail. Pretends to be a newspaper, but there’s a reason Wikipedia no longer approves it as a reliable source.
I was disapproved of by the Mail Online once. I still have a printout of it somewhere - I was going to frame it and put it on the wall in the toilet.
Ah, the ‘dog ate my homework’ excuse, as beloved by the Tories under Johnson. Your messages don’t disappear with your phone. They can easily be retrieved. And yet the MSM allow this total non-excuse to pass unchallenged.
If the media in Scotland were even close to impartial, there would be no further need for an independence movement.
Came here to say this. Numbers always underestimated, sometimes by ridiculous margins.
The problem is that it won’t be enforced. Or that’s my suspicion.
Not having this one, sorry. Many of us find things in our diaries and can’t remember what they are about, but you don’t just forget about giving a conference keynote address. You especially don’t realise that’s what you’re there for *after* travelling to the conference.
How many were there?
This is impressive. I was feeling pretty manly this week after drilling down into the concrete to secure our new parcel box firmly to the ground. I don’t mess with electrics though!
Why is this even a question? The alternative is literally placing them above the law.
Well said, John. Bravo.
So, maybe not the leader we all wanted her to be, but perhaps the one Scotland needed at the time. The UK establishment were terrified of her - hence the very deliberate removing her from the board over Operation Branchform.
I’d take a slightly more balanced view. She took charge in the immediate aftermath of the 2014 referendum and had little chance of moving the dial on Indy as a result. What she actually did was make people outside Scotland take Scotland seriously - especially during Covid.
Not great. Not terrible, but not great. Kabore had the best chance of the half and put it two yards over the bar. Has to do better there.
