The U.S. doesn’t have an immigrant problem; it has a White Christian Nationalist problem, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation.
Any government that isn't right now accelerating plans to transition to 100% clean, renewable energy is either:
a. Incompetent
b. In the pockets of people who'd rather they didn't
c. a & b
I was one of those barrels in a past life. It was brutal. Not to mention tiresome, fashion-wise.
the world was a better place back when these apolitical dipshits just kinda sat politics out instead of in 2024 when they all voted for Trump entirely based on vibes and then googled what tariffs are the day after the election
The woman being murdered in the video Trump posted was an immigrant. Her name was Nilufar Yasmin. She was from Bangladesh. Trump is weaponizing her death against communities like hers. Outstanding reporting from @pabloreports.bsky.social for Migrant Insider. migrantinsider.com/p/her-name-w...

A human bureaucrat can destroy only so many lives in a day; AI can ruin the lives of tens of thousands at once:

“The direct healthcare costs for tackling long COVID will remain high: around USD 11 billion a year. Additionally, the indirect economic costs of long COVID…could create a major drag on the economy amounting to USD 135 billion per annum over the next decade.”

“Why would they think I meant to threaten 2600 years of Iranian civilization, which would take a lot of effort and I would need Congress to sign off on, when I can take the easy win and destroy 250 years of American civilization instead?"

NBC: Hegseth has taken steps to block or delay promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military, some of whom are seen as having been targeted because of their race, gender or perceived affiliation with Biden admin, per 9 officials.
All of us, including voters of color, PAY ATTENTION.
PAY ATTENTION. Do we really think there will be FEWER climate disasters next year? #TaxTheRich
New COVID-19 variant. Same protection. Wear masks. High-quality masks like N95 and KN95s (these are also called respirators) offer the most protection. Use the best available to you! Keep clean air. COVID-19 infects others most commonly when it is breathed in through the air. Keeping clean, well-ventilated air with open windows and air purifiers lowers the amount of virus in the air and reduces your chances of getting sick! Get vaccinated. Even when new variants develop, vaccines can help protect you from serious illness and death from COVID-19!
As you continue hearing about the new COVID-19 variant (the “cicada” variant) in the news, remember the protection remains the same! Wear the best mask available to you, keep indoor air clean, & stay up to date on vaccines to protect yourself & others from infection & serious illness from COVID-19!
The most crooked AG in history got fired today.
Not because she was crooked.
Because she wasn’t good enough at it.

It’s not about non-citizen voting. If you delay voters until the polls close, you lower the number of ballots cast. High voter turnout favors democratic candidates.

WHO Says Best Way To Prevent Airborne Infections Is To Delete Guidance From Website
A picture of a bunch of people at an airport standing in line with their suitcases, waiting to go through the metal detector. Captions over two peoples heads say they are sick, one of whom doesnt have symptoms and doesn’t know she’s sick already. Two other people who are not wearing masks have captions saying they are at high risk of getting sick here. One person, the only one wearing a mask, has a bubble over his head saying he is at low risk of becoming infected here.
Seriously though. Spring break is here, & airports & airplanes are full of people coming from all over, including people who know they’re sick but didn’t want to cancel their trip, needed to get home ASAP, etc. Even if you don’t wear masks anywhere else, you should really consider wearing them here.
New blog with stuff more people should know. And not just know but use for the benefit of all.

Our polymath friend Henry Rathvon has a Substack of wonderful little poems. In honour of St. Patrick's Day he wrote a round (a canon) around colcannon.
On his request I set it to music. Begorra!
